Its been awhile.

So dearly sorry that it has been so long. Life has been busy, yet more relaxing than before. This semester I have been taking only one class online and working at my internship. I could not have scored a better internship. I have been able to learn a lot, take on new projects and ski... a lot. See some fun photos below!

Beautiful views skiing at Alta!

In heaven with two feet of fresh pow at Snowbasin!

First day skiing at Sundance Resort. Boy it was pretty.

The job search has been continuing and I'm torn between staying in Salt Lake and moving back to Boise. Things have been swayed both ways and right now its looking more like I'm going to be heading back to my roots in good ol Boise.

I spent my spring break working here in Salt Lake and was able to make a quick trip home for the last weekend. It was great to be home and see my family.

Next up on my agenda....GRADUATION. A long awaited event, and I couldn't be more excited.

Me and my Kappa sisters at an event called Pink Prom which raises money for breast cancer research.

Before Carrie Underwood and Hunter Hayes in Boise. We got to meet RJ's cute girlfriend.

My Little and I at Kappa Soup 2013. Kappa was able to raise over 2,000 for the Christmas Box House.

A pretty little view in SLC.

Being A Bridesmaid

I was asked to be a bridesmaid in one of my best friends wedding. I was honored to help her plan and stand next to her on her big day. It was a beautiful wedding on October 5th, a chilly fall day, at Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. Standing up there with the happy couple, I thought for sure I would be a crying mess of tears of happiness for the two of them. Thankfully, that wasn't the case at all. There was so much love and joy in the ceremony that there wasn't a second to think about crying. I have known Lorin and Blake since freshman year through all their ups and downs, travels and weekend adventures. I wish them many many more years of happiness together. It has been the running joke that I will become their nanny when they have a child...lets hope I have a real job by then! Enjoy the photos below and click on the link to see all photos from the wedding!

Founders Day at KKG.

Every year our Kappa chapter gathers round to celebrate the founding of our wonderful organization. This year it was held at The Salt Lake Country Club. Each year of attending the Founder's Day brunch I feel like I have gained so much more from Kappa. This year I was not only presented an award, but I was able to pin a woman who was receiving her 65 year pin for 65 years of membership in Kappa Kappa Gamma. I was also able to "slip the grip" with an alumna and stand next to her during ritual. It was amazing to see that 65 years later she still remembered the handshake and the song we song. After she leaned over to me and said, "They start that song too high. I have such a deep voice that it would sound like a man was in the room if I sung. So I just mouth the words." I couldn't help but laugh with her, because that is exactly how I feel sometimes!

I am so blessed and beyond honored to receive the Alice Pittman Award at our Kappa Kappa Gamma Founder's Day celebration today. I am thankful to be a part of such an amazing organization. Kappa has taught me so much in my college years. The feelings and memories are unexplainable. I look forward many many more years of memories, philanthropic efforts and self-growth in Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Fall in the 801

Fall is my favorite season.....like I mentioned in my last post...except it is closer to being in full swing. I have a pumpkin candle,  a "leaves" scented car smelly, and I've broken out the sweaters and scarves. Life is good in the fall! Today I took a wonderful hike up to a place called the living room. The leaves were all shades of green, orange, red, yellow and maroon. It was beautiful. Here are a few photos along with a fun fall wreath I made!
