This spring break consisted of the hot Arizona sun, shopping, crafting and spending time with my Momma!
I spent the first weekend of spring break visiting Kelly in Arizona. We went shopping and I spent some quality time poolside. It was so wonderful to see Kelly and spend time with her! Sometimes it is hard to be away from your best friends, but that weekend really showed me that true friendships can actually grow stronger with distance and time. One evening Kelly, her little and another Kappa sister and I all hiked up Camel Back. It was a lot of fun, and I realized it is a lot easier when it isn't scorching hot outside! I also found my formal dress in Arizona. Crossing that one off the list of “to-do’s!”
I even started reading a book over the break. This is a huge thing for me, seeing as I usually only read a few books a year most of which happens during the summer. I started reading “The Five People You Meet in Heaven,” and my goal is to finish it by the end of break (yepp…that is tonight) and I think I will meet that goal.
During the few days between Arizona and my mom visiting, my hours were spent crafting, at the spa and cleaning the wonderful VS. Spring has sprung and so did spring cleaning!
Then Mom arrived. We shopped our hearts out. Re-stocked my cupboards. Watched movies. Organized and slightly re-arranged my room. And got pedicures! I got shoes for Lorin’s wedding and shoes for formal, plus tons of other cute stuff! Very successful shopping with Mom!!! What a wonderful way to end my spring break! For St. Patty’s Day Mom made us corned beef and cabbage and we made green frosted cupcakes! Always being festive here at The VS.
Overall, the spring break was full of relaxation and rejuvenation. Just what I needed!
Oh, and The VS is now decorated for Easter. Stay tuned for the crafting post as well as Easter Décor J
